Projects and cooperation
Danish Cultural Institute cooperates every year with dozens of Polish cultural institutions, organizations, libraries, cinemas, schools and universities. Among them are partners such as The Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdansk,Culture Centre Zamek in Poznan, Pomeranian Duke’s Castle in Szczecin, Hans Christian Andersen’s Theater in Lublin, Warsaw Philharmonic, The National Cinematheque in Warsaw and important festivals such as Warsaw Autumn, Music in Paradise, Poznań Baroque, T-Mobile New Horizons or Sopot Film Festival.
Our most important projects carried out in recent years include: Participation of Danish musicians in consecutive editions of Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music, a series of concerts and lectures within the framework of Carl Nielsen Year 2015, a retrospective of Danish Dogma films, screenings of films for children and young people under the Warsaw film festival Cinema in the Sneakers, a series of Danish classical music concerts under Simply Philharmonic! project in Warsaw, a series of seminars devoted modern library Biblioteka Nowa, a conference and workshops Think (in) Visual Communication in cooperation with EUNIC, presentations of Danish contemporary art in Gdansk, Poznań and Warsaw, a series of lectures and seminars on Danish architecture and urban planning.
