Piotr Topperzer born in 1948 in Wrocław, living in Denmark since 1969. His works are characterized by minimalist elegance and economical means of expression. The objects that he captures, reflect the artist’s exceptional sensitivity and sense of space and light. He began working with Danish design in 80s. He photographed jewelry, porcelain, silverware and furniture. Piotr collaborated with international companies Bang & Olufsen, Fritz Hansen, Stelton, Georg Jensen and Royal Copenhagen, photographing objects designed by the best ones in the field of Danish design such as Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjærholm and Henning Koppel. Thanks to the understanding of the ideals of Danish design – stylistic discipline and simplicity of form – he created fascinating photographs that are the essence of these aesthetically refined products.
“A good photograph consists of many factors: a story, light, shadow, space, motif and composition, but the most important one is the simplicity of the means of expression that leads us to the heart of the matter […]” – Piotr Topperzer
