Copenhagen Slim Band at the only blues festival in Warsaw
Is there such a thing as the Danish blues tradition? If you ask the winner of the Danish blues awards Nisse Thorbjørn, the answer is: “Sure, yes!”
On October 26-28th, on the blues-only scenes of the Ochota district, well-known Polish and foreign representatives of this musical genre will perform during the 9th edition of the only blues festival in Warsaw – International Ochota Blues Festival.
Energetic cocktail, authentic enthusiasm and joy will also be provided by the Copenhagen Slim Band (Nisse Thorbjørn, Rune Højmark, Michael Strange and Kristian Bast) that on the October 27th will take over the stage at Ochota Center for Culture.
Copenhagen Slim Band shared the stage with the American blues stars John Primer and Lurrie Bell. The quartet perfectly performs Chicago blues. In addition, their work also refers to such performers as Leadbelly or Robert Johnson. The work of the band is a unique combination of emotions, traditional and new blues sounds.
