Study tours

The Danish Cultural Institute organizes study tours for groups with specific professional interests as well as individual job swop i.e. an exchange programme for Danish and Polish professionals involving job shadowing in each other's country.

Individual job-swop tours require finding and matching two persons sharing same profession, one from Denmark and one from Poland, who in a period of 1-4 weeks are accomodated privately at the other person's place and work together thus extending their professional competences.

Study tours for Danish groups to Poland and Polish groups to Denmark last usually 4-7 days. Their programme may include visits to institutions or organisations indicated by the group, or may also be fully arranged by the Institute. The programme usually contains two visits in institutions/ organisations per day, the Institute arranges the lodging and board agenda as well as possible entertainment. During the stay in Denmark the group is under the care of an English speaking Institute's representative. A Polish guide/translator may be employed which, however, raises the cost of the tour.

As qualified tourism is becoming more and more popular these days and people want to learn most of the culture of the country they are travelling to, the Institute arranges also such kind of tours. They may eg. include visits to museums accompanied by a lecture on Danish art or history, meeting with renowned people within Danish culture, evenings in the opera which building has become another - after the Black Diamond - icon of the Danish architecture.
