MUSIC IS LIFE - EXHIBITION ON THE DANISH COMPOSER CARL NIELSEN.
The exhibition presented life and work of Carl Nielsen (1865-1931), the most famous Danish composer, from his early childhood spent on the Danish isle of Fynen, till the time when he became the central figure of the Danish and Nordic musical life.

The composer is mainly famous for his 6 operas, 3 symphonies and 3 concerts, as well as still popular folk songs. His works make a kind of bridge between the music of 19th and 20th centuries, as well as between folk and classical music. Carl Nielsen's music seems not to belong to any particular period, but lives its own life - and that is probably why it becomes more and more popular.
The exhibition was prepared by Carl Nielsen Museum in Odense, Denmark, and presented in following places:
