Photo exhibition Bornholm at Program ART Gallery in Warsaw
The exhibition Bornholm presenting works by Maciej Jedrzejewski will open on 12. November at Program ART Gallery in Warsaw, ul. Andersa 20. The photographs were made by the use of the traditional technique during the artist's stay on the island in May 2007 and make a series of 14 nostalgic, big format photos.
The exhibition is organized by the Contemporary Art Foundation Fundacja Promocji Sztuki Wspólczesnej and Program ART Gallery.
The Danish Cultural Institute is the honorary patron of the exhibition.
Graphics exhibition Czas (Printmaking Update)

The Danish group Slaraffenland's concert in Warsaw
The Polish fans of nordic sounds had a chance to hear them on the 14th of October in Jadlodajnia Filozowiczna in Warsaw. Their music is often compared to Animal Collective and Radiohead.

Premiere performance of "The Beach" by Peter Asmussen in Kalisz
The first performance of "The Beach" by Danish contemporary writer Peter Asmussen will take place at W. Boguslawski Theatre in Kalisz on the 11th October. The performance is directed by Rudolf Ziolo. The text was translated by Elzbieta Fratczak- Nowotny. "Will you speak so beautifully about me? Will you? If I die first?"- these are the last words of the performance. The characters in the performance are two couples that meet each summer in a seaside hotel. They need these answers when they find out that accumulation of misfortunes, feeling of loneliness and life monotony take over love in their relationships.
Nordalia
Festival of Scandinavian Culture Nordalia organized annually in the region of Katowice and Silesia will last this year from the 9th until the 30th October. Among the various activities there will be a possibility to see Jens Damkjær Nielsen’s Graphics Exhibition, to meet writer Janina Katz and listen to the concert of Danish jazz group Valentine Quartet.
Signs and thoughts- QuilteQunstnere Tapestry Exhibition in Baltic Art Gallery in Koszalin
Exhibition’s opening is on the 2nd October in Centrum Kultury 105 (105 Cultural Centre) at 105 Zwyciestwa St. QuilteQunstnere is a group of artists creating pictures known as artquilts. The artists use various art methods such as sewing, printing, embroidery taking advantage of the specific cloth structure. The QQ Group was founded in 1996. The members are mainly Danish artists but there are also some Norwegians and Swedes. The exhibition will consist of 60 pieces of art by 20 artists, from whom some will be present at the opening. Exhibition will last until the 3rd. November.
The exhibition is organized under the auspices of The Danish Cultural Institute in Poland.
